2010 NHL Playoffs

The 2010 NHL playoffs are shaping up to be some of the best ever. With many upsets occuring particularly in the eastern conference with the 6,7,8 seeds going through. The Montreal Canadiens managed to do seemingly the impossible. Rallying from down 3-1 in the series they managed to beat the number one seed and odds on favourite to win the Stanley Cup. The Washington Capitals. After an inspiring performance by Jaroslav Halak and the defense shutting down Alexander Ovechkin and the rest of the high scoring Capitals the Canadiens are going to have there hands full with Sidney Crosby and the Pittsburgh Penguins. Also surprisingly going through from the east were the Flyers and Bruins. The west on the other hand provided fewer upsets but equal entertainment. The Vancouver Canucks and Chicago blackhawks will reprise their rivalry in one of the most anticipated matchups. Both teams are filled with scoring and firepower. The other matchup will include the San Jose Sharks and Detroit Red Wings arguably the two best teams in the last decade. Hopefully these playoffs prove to live up to hype and provide some good mathchups.

NHL Playoffs 2009

The NHL playoffs this year are shaping up to be one of the best in history. The Washington Capitals and Pittsburgh series is my personal favourite. The clash of the titans. Sidney Crosby vs. Alexander Ovechkin. With game 2 probably going down in history as one of the most memorable in history when Crosby and Ovechkin both scored a hat trick each. However the Caps prevailed and won the legendary game. Game 3 was also very good with the Caps tying the game with 2 minutes left. The Penguins managed to win the game in overtime to put the series to 2-1 for the caps.

The ever highly anticipated 2009 edition of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue has finally been revealed.With Bar Rafaeli on the cover it’ss sure to be a smokin issue. With plenty of fine things to look at inside referring to the articles of course it should be a stellar read. Anyways you’ll be seeing me at the nearest newsstand as soon as this hits stores and I hope to see you to.

Canucks Suck

The Canucks Suck. They have lost 8 games in a row and have lost 9 home games in a row. Sundin has scored only 1 goal and Luongo doesn’t seem to be helping. They are in 11th place right now and show no signs of getting back up. There season is going to be done very fast if they don’t change anything fast. Basically the canucks are done

My Christmas

I’m back after my awesome sports filled break. not really. I went skiing in sun peaks for five days and tore up the slopes. Then came back and watched hockey in particular the IIHF junior hockey championships. Canada putting on a real show particularly against the Americans and the Russians but prevailed in two miracle games and eventually beating Sweden 5-1 one in a game that was actually much closer than it sounds. Anyways I’m back and I’ll keep you posted.

Mats Sundin signs with Canucks

Mats Sundin has officialy signed with the Vancouver Canucks. He signed a 10 million dollar pro rated contract. Which will see him earn about 5.7 million dollars(because the season is half over) for one year. This is great news for Canucks fans such as myself because Sundin should make a great addtion to the team. He will most likely be playing on a line with Pavol Demitra and Kyle Wellwood. Hopefully his addition will make us a serious cup contender.

Mats Sundin

Mats Sundin will finally be selecting a team to play for in the next few days. He has narrowed it down to his final two teams the Vancouver Canucks and the New York Rangers. The Canucks who have lot’s of caproom have offered him a 1 year 10 million dollar deal. While the Rangers have very little caproom and will have to free up some space for Mats to come play with them. Hopefully he makes the right choice and chooses the Vancouver Canucks.
